Hot Research areas in Computer Science in the next decade

Internet of Things (IoT)

The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the connection of anything to the internet. It includes four main components, sensors, connectivity, data processing and user interface. The interconnection of these components makes it possible to remotely control machines and home appliances. However, IoT has many challenges from an economical perspective and also has technology-related issues, such as security, privacy and interoperability.

                                                Edge computing

Edge computing is a computer paradigm, in which data processing takes place at the edge of the network rather than completely in the cloud. Edge computing ensures fast data processing and analysis, data security, and less pressure on the network. It is still in its early stage and a framework to ease this is not yet available also it should address some security and privacy issues. There is a necessity for a standardized naming system for edge-computing otherwise the devices can be easily found.

Cybermatics

Cybermatics refers to the scientific and structured study of cyber entities in cyberspace, the behaviors, practices and properties of cyber entities, similar to physical space. Today cyberspace is equally important as the real world, so cybermatics matters.

Natural Language Processing (NLP)

NLP is an emerging field in Artificial Intelligence(AI). The purpose of NLP is to assist computers in understanding spoken and written human languages. Using the Transformer architecture, the possibilities of NLP become endless. Text Summarization, Translation, Question Answer generation and Natural Language Generation are some of the main NLP tasks.
